Delivery Damage Inspection | Citi Cabinet
Learn how to inspect a cabinet delivery, document damage, and contact Citi Cabinet about a delivery issue.
Inspect every pallet before signing the freight carrier's delivery receipt. Check for torn shrink wrap, crushed corners, or visibly shifted boxes. If you see damage, note it in writing on the delivery receipt before the driver leaves — this written notation is required for a freight claim to be valid.
Open and inspect individual boxes within 48 hours of delivery, even if the outer pallet looked fine. Concealed damage (damage inside an intact-looking box) is covered if reported within this window — photograph the damaged item, its packaging, and the shipping label, and submit a claim through your Order Status page or by contacting your design specialist.
We will ship a replacement part or full box at no cost once a claim is approved. Damage reported after 48 hours, or without delivery-receipt notation for pallet-level damage, may not be eligible for a free replacement — but reach out anyway, as we evaluate these on a case-by-case basis.
